Region 7 Pre-Season Training Camp

Hello all- We are ready to roll out registration for the 2013 Region 7 Pre-Season Prep Training Camp scheduled for June 28-30 at Apollo Gymnastics, Woodbridge, VA. We are looking forward to a great camp, especially as we prepare for the new quadrennium. This camp is for Levels 8-10 (Level 8 on Fri/Sat; Level 9-10 on Sat/Sun), and we will accept the first 100 registrations per camp on a first come, first served basis. I have attached the camp brochure--can you please distribute this to your states and place on your websites? We have been successful marketing these camp without paper, thanks to your help! 8/9/10 Declaration Dates Approaching Soon
Posted by: | CommentsJanuary 27, 2013: Last day to submit Level 8, 9 and 10 IES’s to Patty Strickland, gymjudge4@aol.com, Dave Rettig, djrettig@cs.com and Lynn Perrott, lperrott2@gmail.com. Nothing will be accepted after that date.
February 10, 2013: Last day to declare as a Level 8, 9 or 10 for this season. If you compete your athlete up a level after that date, that athlete will have to compete that higher level for State Championships.

We are now accepting bids for our 2013 Region 7 Pre-Season Prep training camp scheduled for June 28-30, 2013. This is a great opportunity to fundraise for your organization and also be a part of the growing success of our regional camps. Please refer to the attached camp bid information for host requirements and responsibilities, and return completed bid forms via email to Linda Johnson, RJOCC by January 1, 2013. If possible, please include a diagram of the gym floor plan.

Region 7 Jackets & JO/NIT Nationals Hotel Block

In response to the issues we have had in past years with people securing hotel rooms for JO Nationals and NIT, Craig Zappa has arranged a hotel block for our region in Minneapolis. I am attaching the information. It is a very reasonable rate. I recommend that if you have any athletes you anticipate will qualify, make a reservation now. After regionals, if your athlete does not qualify, or if you do not need as many rooms, be sure to cancel or modify your reservation. Remember that our region holds a separate regional meet for Level 10 (only region to do so) and it is scheduled 1 week later than the rest of the regions….

Feedback on RJOC Position Requested

Input request from the Region 7 RACC:
NEEDED: IMPORTANT FEEDBACK!
This spring the position of RJOC is up for election. There is concern that Linda Johnson, the current Region 7 RJOC, does not meet the qualifications as specified in the Operating Code. We are asking for feedback from the professional members of Region 7, in the form of a brief, 10 question survey available at the following link. To have your answers counted, please have your USAG # and various expiration dates ready when you go to fill out the form. Survey must be completed before 10/27/12.
